Lizelle Lee Tons Up for a Second Straight Game to Fire Hurricanes to the Top

Hobart Hurricanes' Lizelle Lee has become the first player in WBBL history to hit back-to-back centuries after leading her team to a 28-run win over Adelaide Strikers at the Bellerive Oval. Lee's unbeaten 103 off 59 deliveries included 13 fours and four sixes.

Lee Fueled Hurricanes' Challenging Total

Lee's innings was supported by Nicola Carey's 64 off 46, while Elyse Villani added 23 to help Hurricanes post a challenging total of 191 in 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana scored a blistering 51 off 32 in the Strikers' chase, but the team struggled to keep pace with the asking rate.

Strikers Fall Short

Megan Schutt cleaned up Danni Wyatt-Hodge for a duck in the first over, but the Strikers' innings struggled after that. Amy Smith bowled four overs for just 16 runs, limiting the Strikers' scoring opportunities. Laura Wolvaardt hit an unbeaten 63 off 40, but it was not enough to save the Strikers from a 28-run defeat.
