India Dominates South Africa in T20I Series

India's innings against South Africa in the fourth and final men's T20I was a masterclass in batting, with Sanju Samson scoring 109 not out and Tilak Varma not out on 120. The pair shared a record 210-run stand, taking India to 283 for 1, their highest total against South Africa in a T20I.

Tough Road for South Africa

South Africa, who had taken India to the T20 World Cup final in Barbados in June, were without several key players due to injuries. However, India still managed to dominate in all departments, with Arshdeep Singh taking 3 for 20 as South Africa crashed to 10 for 4 in three overs.

Rob Walter Accepts Blame

South Africa's head coach, Rob Walter, took responsibility for the team's performance, saying, "There are no excuses. We haven't played well enough." He also acknowledged the need to build a strong base of players, saying, "We can't pick the same 15 players every single time we play. There's just too much cricket."

Series Loss Stings Walter

This was South Africa's third series loss under Walter, who took up his appointment as white-ball head coach in March last year. The team drew a home rubber against India in December and against Ireland in Abu Dhabi in September, but have lost three series to West Indies, Australia, and now India.

Moving Forward

Walter vowed to make improvements, saying, "There have been instances where we've not grown. That's disappointing. So, I want the team to be better, and it starts with me being better for the team."
