Pratika Rawal Gets Maiden Call-Up for WI ODIs

Uncapped 24-year-old Pratika Rawal has been selected for the upcoming ODI series against West Indies. The BCCI announced the squads for the 50-over games and T20Is, with Rawal replacing injured player Priya Punia.

Other notable absentees from the ODI squad include Shreyanka Patil, Pooja Vastrakar, and Shafali Verma, who was overlooked once again.

ODI squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Pratika Rawal, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol, Richa Ghosh (WK), Uma Chetry (WK), Tejal Hasabnis, Deepti Sharma, Minnu Mani, Priya Mishra, Tanuja Kanwer, Titas Sadhu, Saima Thakor, Renuka Singh Thakur

T20I squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Nandini Kashyap, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (WK), Uma Chetry (WK), Deepti Sharma, Sajana Sajeevan, Raghvi Bist, Renuka Singh Thakur, Priya Mishra, Titas Sadhu, Saima Thakor, Minnu Mani, Radha Yadav

Nandini Kashyap and Raghvi Bist have earned their first call-ups for the T20I squad. Radha Yadav, who was left out of the ODI series, is also missing from the T20I squad.

Arundhati Reddy, who recently impressed with her performance, is absent from both squads.

The West Indies tour will start with a three-match T20I series on December 15 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, followed by the ODI series in Vadodara. India will host the Women's ODI World Cup in 2023.
