Breakthrough Finally for CT Impasse: Hybrid Model for India-Pak Games

India-Pakistan Games to be Played in Neutral Country

A breakthrough has been achieved in the Champions Trophy impasse, with the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) agreeing to a hybrid model for India-Pakistan games. The model will see all India-Pakistan games in the current cycle of 2024-27 played in a neutral country.

Neutral Country for Champions Trophy to be Announced Soon

The neutral country for the Champions Trophy 2025 will be either UAE or Sri Lanka. The final schedule will be announced soon by the ICC.

India-Pakistan Game in 2026 T20 World Cup to be Played in Sri Lanka

The India-Pakistan game in the 2026 Twenty20 World Cup will be played in Sri Lanka, rather than in India.

UAE to Host 10 Matches, Including India League Matches and Knockout Games

The UAE is expected to host 10 of the 15 matches, including three India league matches and two knockout games.

Pakistan to Host ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2028

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been awarded hosting rights of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2028, where neutral venue arrangements will also apply.

Cricket Australia to Host Senior ICC Women's Events

Cricket Australia has also been awarded hosting rights for one of the senior ICC women's events during the period 2029 to 2031.
