Yashasvi Jaiswal Told to Report to Mumbai Team

Domestic Cricket Takes Center Stage

Yashasvi Jaiswal, the young India opener, has been instructed to report to the Mumbai team for domestic training. This move aligns with the BCCI's diktat for Indian players to participate in domestic matches.

Jaiswal's Domestic Assignment

Jaiswal will train with the Mumbai team at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) on Wednesday. His participation in the upcoming Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir on January 23 remains uncertain, with a decision expected by January 20.

Rohit Sharma's Dilemma

Rohit Sharma, the India captain, spent two hours at the Mumbai nets on Tuesday but is uncertain about participating in the Ranji Trophy match due to the transition to white-ball cricket for the Champions Trophy.

Other Players' Availability

  • Shubman Gill is likely to feature in Punjab's game against Karnataka in Bengaluru.
  • Virat Kohli's participation in Delhi's Ranji fixture against Saurashtra in Rajkot remains unclear.
  • Rishabh Pant's availability is still unknown.
  • KL Rahul appears unlikely to participate in Karnataka's next match.
