Captain Ash Gardner was dismissed for 12, and Deandra Dottin was clean bowled by Annabel Sutherland for 26. The Giants managed to score only 54 after the first 10 overs, the lowest score at this stage in this year's WPL.

Bharti Fulmali (40*) and Tanuja Kanwer (16) put up a 51-run partnership, taking the Giants past the 100-run mark. However, Kanwer was run-out, and Simran Shaikh was dismissed, leaving the Giants at 108/7. Jess Jonassen then cleaned up Meghna Singh before Fulmali ended the innings with a boundary.

Capitals' Successful Chase

Shafali Varma and Meg Lanning started the chase, scoring 13/0 after three overs. Lanning was bowled by Gautam for 5, but Jonassen came in at No.3 and hit two boundaries to signal her intent. Varma muscled Dottin for six, and Jonassen clinched three boundaries off Gardner as the Capitals ended on 46/1 after the PowerPlay.

Jonassen and Varma continued to muscle the ball to the fence, bringing the equation down to 39 runs with more than 10 overs to spare. Jonassen brought up her 50 in just 26 balls. The Capitals won the match by six wickets, taking them to the top of the WPL table.
