Virat Kohli to Play 300th Game Against New Zealand in Champions Trophy

Virat Kohli will be playing his 300th game when India takes on New Zealand in a Champions Trophy league match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Michael Bracewell Praises Kohli's Achievement

New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell said, "That's a massive, massive achievement. 300 games across a career is very impressive. And then to put that in just one format is amazing."

Bracewell's First-Hand Experience with Kohli

Bracewell played with Kohli at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2023 season of the IPL. He has first-hand knowledge of Kohli's preparation for each match. "I saw it firsthand at RCB, how he sort of prepared for each match. And it's very impressive."

New Zealand's Confidence Ahead of the Match

New Zealand have a hegemony over India in the ICC tournaments, with a head-to-head tally of 10-5. However, 34-year-old Michael Bracewell said the team would not put pressure on themselves by thinking about their better record. "We don't like to put too much pressure on ourselves. We just try and play our style of cricket and our brand of cricket."

Dismissing Talk of an Advantage for India

There has been talk of an advantage for India since the Sky Sports podcast was aired recently. However, Michael Bracewell dismissed such talk. "It is what it is. It's been decided, and that's the way that it is, and there's no point dwelling on that."
