South Africa Confirm Semis Spot with Dominant Win

South Africa bowled out England for 179 in 38.2 overs to secure their spot in the semifinals of the 2025 Champions Trophy. Wiaan Mulder (3-25), Marco Jansen (3-39), and Keshav Maharaj (2-35) led the charge, dismissing England's top-order quickly.

England's struggles began early, with Phil Salt (0) falling inside the PowerPlay and Ben Duckett (20) being dismissed by Jansen. Jamie Smith (0) followed soon after, and Duckett's wicket sealed England's fate. Joe Root (37) and Harry Brook (0) pushed England to 62/3 in 10 overs, but Jansen's exceptional catch at mid-wicket ended Brook's innings.

Root's wicket marked a turning point, and Maharaj's teasing spell of left-arm spin accounted for Liam Livingstone (9). Ngidi's acrobatic effort at mid-on caught Jamie Overton (0) off a miscued shot, and Jansen took another excellent catch at mid-wicket to end Jofra Archer's (0) efforts.

England's all-out collapse came in the 39th over, with South Africa sealing the win.
