Shan Masood Signs All Format Deal with Leicestershire

Shan Masood, Pakistan's Test skipper, has signed an all-format deal with Leicestershire for the 2025 season.

Background

Masood will join Leicestershire in mid-May after the Pakistan Super League and be available for the T20 Blast opening fixture on May 31.

Previous Experience

This will be Masood's third club in the county circuit, following successful stints with Derbyshire (2022) and Yorkshire (last two years), where he was captain when they got promoted to Division One.

New Teammates

Masood will join Leicestershire's overseas players, including new skipper Peter Handscomb and Netherlands international Logan van Beek.

Career Highlights

Masood has played 70 games for Pakistan across formats and boasts a spectacular first-class record, scoring almost 12,000 runs.
