Harry Brook Named England's White-Ball Captain

Harry Brook has been appointed as England's new white-ball captain, as confirmed by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Monday, April 7. The 26-year-old takes over from Jos Buttler, who stepped down following England's 2025 Champions Trophy campaign in Pakistan.

Brook's Statement:

"It's a real honour to be named England's white-ball captain. Ever since I was a kid playing cricket in Burley in Wharfedale, I dreamed of representing Yorkshire, playing for England, and one day leading the team. To now be given that chance means a great deal to me."

"I want to thank my family and coaches for their unwavering support. Their belief in me has been instrumental in getting me to this point. There's so much talent in this country, and I'm excited to get started, move forward, and work towards winning series, World Cups, and major events. I'm ready to give it everything I've got."
