ICC members gather in Harare for a four-day conclave

A four-day meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) will commence later on Thursday (April 10) in Harare. It is being hailed as a historic first for Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC).

ICC Chair Jay Shah will be part of the conclave. The gathering will move to the iconic Victoria Falls where the members are expected to hold further deliberations on April 12 and 13.

The meetings will focus on critical governance, strategic and operational matters shaping the future of the sport worldwide. A formal agenda for the meeting has not been made public, but the discussions may include the inclusion of cricket in the Olympic Games.

ZC chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani described the hosting of the meetings as a proud moment for both the organisation and the nation. "This is a proud and historic moment for Zimbabwe Cricket and our country as a whole," he said. "We are fully prepared to host the esteemed cricket leaders and to showcase the beauty, warmth and hospitality of our nation."
