CSK Find a Way Through Small Moments

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) found a way to break their longest-ever rut in a season by channelling their hurt into something meaningful through switch-flicking moments and one-upping Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a few passages of play.

PowerPlay Flip – Part I

Rahul Tripathi's sensational catch in the first over set the tone for the game, snuffing out Aiden Markram and lightening the burden of being poor catchers for CSK. Anshul Kamboj's persistence in reviewing an LBW decision in the fourth over paid off, getting Nicholas Pooran out for just eight runs and keeping LSG down to a sub-50 total in that phase.

Spinphony ft. Noor & Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja and Noor Ahmad stepped up in conditions where spinners treated themselves to miserly spells. Jadeja bowled a wicket delivery to Mitchell Marsh, while Noor Ahmad preyed on Rishabh Pant's spin vulnerabilities to bowl 10 of his 13 dots at the LSG captain.

PowerPlay Flip – Part II

CSK's batting inefficiencies were a major concern, but 20-year-old Shaik Rasheed offered a vindication of sorts. He got the CSK faithful going in the chase with a gorgeous flick to the mid-wicket fence off Akash Deep, followed by expert field manipulation as he hit one straight over the bowler's head.

Dhoni's Entry

Vijay Shankar's exit after 15 overs of the chase led to a dramatic moment as MS Dhoni strode in. The 43-year-old's hitting power showed no signs of decline, and his entry shifted the energy in the game. Fans quickly changed track from 'CSK…CSK' to 'Dhoni… Dhoni' after just one booming shot through extra cover.
