IPL games to go ahead as teams wait to hear from BCCI
It is business as usual in the IPL for now. Even in Dharamsala, where the airport has reportedly been shut down following India's attack on Pakistan, there isn't a palpable change as far as the IPL matches are concerned.
Punjab Kings, scheduled to play Delhi Capitals at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, are going ahead with preparations. Both teams are scheduled to practice today and play the match tomorrow, unless there is an advisory from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
"We've not had any information from the BCCI and IPL officials so far. We are going ahead as per the original schedule," a Punjab Kings official told Cricbuzz.
Mumbai Indians are scheduled to travel to Dharamsala on Thursday to face Punjab on May 19.
Even blackout drills, planned for Wednesday evening, are not changing the situation on the ground. "We've not had information from the BCCI with regard to this," another franchise official said.
On Wednesday night, Kolkata Knight Riders are hosting Chennai Super Kings, and the franchise officials say there is no change in the programme.
