Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has hired R Sridhar, former India fielding coach, for a 10-day stint to elevate the fielding standards of Sri Lankan cricketers.

Program Details

• 10-day comprehensive fielding program
• Begins on May 7
• Involves men's and women's national squads, Emerging squads, Premier Club players, and the National U19 team, and Women's 'A' team

R Sridhar's Background

• 54 years old
• BCCI Level 3 qualified coach
• Former fielding coach of the Indian team (2014-2021)
• Worked with IPL franchises

Program Structure

• Begins with the Sri Lanka National Men's team
• Conducts fielding drills, skill-specific training, and simulated match scenarios
• Works closely with National, High Performance, and Club Coaches
