BCB Undecided on Bangladesh's Tour of Pakistan
Bangladesh Tour of Pakistan, 2025
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced that the men's national team will travel to the UAE for a two-match T20I series, but has not yet made a decision regarding their tour of Pakistan to play five T20Is.
Background
The Emirates Cricket Board had previously announced that Bangladesh would play two T20Is against the UAE at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in May. The matches were scheduled for May 17 and 19.
BCB's Decision
The BCB has deferred the decision to tour Pakistan due to border tensions between Pakistan and India, which led to the postponement of the IPL and PSL.
BCB's Statement
The BCB directors met at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium to discuss their next course of action. In a statement, the BCB said:
"The Bangladesh National Team will tour the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a two-match T20 International series against the host nation as scheduled. The series is set to commence next week."
"The BCB is in active and ongoing discussions with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the Bangladesh National Team's forthcoming tour of Pakistan."
"The BCB wishes to reiterate that the safety and security of its players and support staff remain the Board's highest priority. All decisions concerning the tour will be made with careful consideration of the current situation in Pakistan, ensuring they align with the best interests of the team and Bangladesh cricket."
