England Players Set to Miss Rest of IPL 2025

Jofra Archer, Jamie Overton, and Sam Curran will not return to India for the remainder of the IPL, while Jos Buttler, Will Jacks, Liam Livingstone, and Jacob Bethell will reach the country to complete their IPL duties.

According to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), some England players will return to complete their league engagements, while others have chosen not to. Chennai Super Kings have confirmed that Curran and Overton will not return, and the franchise has no plans to seek temporary replacements. Rajasthan Royals have revealed that Archer will not return due to an injury.

Moeen Ali, who represents Kolkata Knight Riders, is undecided whether to come back or not, and his father will clarify his decision in the next 24 hours.

The ECB has named Archer, Bethell, Buttler, Jacks, and Overton in the Harry Brook-led ODI squad to play against West Indies on May 29, June 1, and 3, meaning they will not be available for the playoffs of the IPL and will have to return to England after the league stage, which concludes on May 27.
