IPL 2025: Cummins, Head to Fly Directly to Lucknow; No Clarity on Starc Yet

Australian Players' Availability for IPL 2025

Pat Cummins and Travis Head, members of Australia's World Test Championship (WTC) final squad, will join their Sunrisers Hyderabad teammates in Lucknow on May 18 and 19 respectively. They will clash with Lucknow Super Giants on May 19.

Uncertainty Surrounds Mitchell Starc's Availability

Despite Cricket Australia's (CA) general sentiment of support for players who choose to return to India, there is no confirmation on Mitchell Starc's availability for the remainder of IPL 2025. The Delhi Capitals remain in the dark about his participation.

Other Australians' Decisions

  • Mitch Owen and Xavier Bartlett have joined the Punjab Kings squad.
  • Moeen Ali (Kolkata Knight Riders) has decided not to return to India due to family issues.
  • Rovman Powell (Kolkata Knight Riders) is also not returning due to medical reasons.

English Players' Decisions

  • Phil Salt, Jacob Bethell, and Liam Livingstone have joined the RCB camp ahead of their game on May 17 against KKR.
