KKR Knocked Out as IPL Resumes with Washout

The Indian Premier League 2025 resumed with a washout in Bengaluru, knocking out defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders from contention for a playoff berth.

The game was a highly anticipated one, with RCB's first match after Virat Kohli's Test retirement and KKR's must-win game to stay in the playoff hunt. Despite the rain, which started over an hour before the toss, the game was unable to proceed.

KKR's chances of making the playoffs are now slim, with only two games left to play. They currently sit sixth with 12 points from 13 games. RCB, on the other hand, now go top of the table with 17 points from 12 games, and may secure their place in the final four before their next game.
