KKR sign Shivam Shukla as Rovman's replacement

Kolkata Knight Riders have signed mystery spinner Shivam Shukla to replace West Indies' Rovman Powell for the remainder of IPL 2025.

Shivam Shukla, 29, has played one season of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, claiming eight wickets in as many games. He impressed during the latest season of the Madhya Pradesh Premier League, where he was the highest wicket-taker with 10 scalps.

KKR's title defence ended with a washout in Bengaluru. The 2024 winners have only one game left to play – against SRH in Delhi.
