Titans trample DC as Sudharsan-Gill blitz seals playoffs berth

===============

Gujarat Titans secured a commanding 10-wicket win over Delhi Capitals, ensuring their qualification to the playoffs of IPL 2025. The win also secured a playoff spot for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings.

Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill's unbeaten 205-run opening stand was the highlight of the match, as they chased down Delhi's total of 199 with ease. KL Rahul's valiant 112 went in vain as Gujarat Titans dominated the match from the start.

The PowerPlay batting proved to be a crucial factor, with Gujarat Titans scoring 59 runs in the first three overs, while Delhi Capitals managed only 43. Sudharsan and Gill's dominant partnership overshadowed Rahul's efforts, doubling the Titans' advantage and tilting the game decisively.

Gujarat Titans' dominant performance

Gujarat Titans' top-order batsmen, Sudharsan and Gill, continued their impressive form, scoring 108 and 93 respectively. The duo brought up a 100-plus stand for the seventh time in IPL, a record only behind Virat Kohli-AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli-Chris Gayle.

Delhi Capitals' valiant effort

KL Rahul's 112 was the highlight of Delhi Capitals' innings, as he carried the team to a total of 199. Rahul's class stood out particularly in two sixes he hit straight down the ground off the pacers – Rabada and Prasidh.

Brief Scores: Delhi Capitals 199/3 (KL Rahul 112*) lost to Gujarat Titans 205/0 (Sai Sudharsan 108*, Shubman Gill 93*) by 10 wickets
