Gus Atkinson has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against the West Indies commencing from May 29. England will not announce a replacement for him.

Atkinson picked up a hamstring strain during the recently concluded one-off Test against Zimbabwe in Nottingham last week. Atkinson's injury has dealt another major blow to England's pace bowling stocks as Jofra Archer too had previously been ruled out of the series. England would hope that Atkinson can recover in time for the five-match Test series commencing against India on June 20.

This will be Harry Brook's first assignment as permanent white-ball captain for England. The ODIs will be played on May 29, June 1 and June 3 in Birmingham, Cardiff and at the Oval in London respectively.
