Klaasen's Retirement from White-Ball Cricket

Heinrich Klaasen, 33, has retired from white-ball cricket, citing the exit of Rob Walter as the white-ball head coach of South Africa and his omission from central contracts.

"I didn't care about my performances or the team's results. That's the wrong mindset," Klaasen said. "I had planned with Rob up to the 2027 World Cup, but when he left and contract negotiations didn't go well, it made my decision easier."

Klaasen also cited the need to spend more time with his family, saying, "I can now spend six or seven months at home. My family needs it after four years of travel. I need a little rest."
