  • Najmul Hossain is focused on perfecting his sweep shot ahead of the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

  • Bangladesh began their preparation for the series on Monday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

  • Skipper Najmul Hossain spent a lot of time practicing sweeps and reverse sweeps against throwdown specialists.

  • "In those kinds of spin-friendly wickets sweep is kind of a defense and why I am saying this is because it is a scoring option and the chance of getting out is very slim because you won't get leg before while chances of getting bowled is lesser," he said.

  • Najmul also practiced with shorter bats to improve his head position and shoulder alignment.
