Najmul intent on perfecting sweep ahead of Sri Lankan test

Najmul Hossain is focused on perfecting his sweep shot ahead of the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh began their preparation for the series on Monday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Skipper Najmul Hossain spent a lot of time practicing sweeps and reverse sweeps against throwdown specialists.

"In those kinds of spin-friendly wickets sweep is kind of a defense and why I am saying this is because it is a scoring option and the chance of getting out is very slim because you won't get leg before while chances of getting bowled is lesser," he said.

Najmul also practiced with shorter bats to improve his head position and shoulder alignment.
