Bengaluru Stampede: RCB Employee Granted Interim Release

Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Head of Marketing & Revenue, Nikhil Sosale**, has been granted interim release, with the condition of surrendering his passport.

Sosale, along with two employees, Kiran KumarSenior Event Manager**) and Sunil Mathew (Vice President – Business Affairs), were arrested on June 6 following the stampede outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB's IPL victory celebrations on June 4, resulting in 11 deaths.

The FIR filed by the police stated that the stampede occurred due to the confusion among organizers on how to allow people into the stadium, which has a seating capacity of around 35,000. The incident resulted in the death of 11 people and injured 56.
