MINY Stutter to Hand TSK Thrilling Win

In a nail-biting finish, Texas Super Kings (TSK) edged out MI New York (MINY) by just three runs in the second match of Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025. Chasing 186, MINY needed nine runs from the final over, but Daryl Mitchell's clever bowling sealed the win.

MINY's chase began shakily, losing three wickets in the powerplay, including captain Nicholas Pooran for 6. Monank Patel, however, held firm and eventually hit a half-century. He was well-supported by Bracewell, and the duo put together a strong 97-run partnership to bring MINY back in the game.

But Adam Milne and Mitchell turned the game around, with Mitchell involved in two run-outs off consecutive balls, accounting for Kieron Pollard and Monank Patel. Despite late hits from Trent Boult and Tajinder Dhillon, MINY fell short.

Earlier, TSK were asked to bat first and finished with 185/6. Devon Conway anchored the innings with a solid 65 off 44 balls, while Calvin Savage smashed an unbeaten 53 off 34 balls to lift the total in the final overs.

Brief Scores:

Texas Super Kings 185/6 in 20 overs (Devon Conway 65, Calvin Savage 53*) beat MI New York 182/8 in 20 overs (Monank Patel 62; Adam Milne 3-22) by 3 runs
