Pope Retains No.3 Spot; Carse Set for Home 'Debut'

England have confirmed their playing XI for the opening Test against India at Headingley, with Ollie Pope retaining his spot at No.3. Brydon Carse is set to make his home 'debut' after recovering from a toe surgery.

Pope's recent form has solidified his case, having scored 171 on his return to the No.3 spot against Zimbabwe. He will continue to bat at No.3, with Josh Tongue and Shoaib Bashir holding onto their spots in the XI.
