Naim Sheikh Recalled to Bangladesh ODI Squad for Sri Lanka Series
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, with left-handed opener Naim Sheikh making a return to the one-day set-up after almost two years.
The series is scheduled to take place from July 2-8, with the first two ODIs set to be played in Colombo and the final match in Pallekele.
Naim, who has played eight ODIs and scored 95 runs, has been recalled to the squad, with BCB chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain citing his changed batting intent and pattern as a reason for the selection.
The squad also includes Litton Das, Shamim Patwary, Tanvir Islam, and Hasan Mahmud, who are all returning to the ODI squad. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah have retired from ODI cricket, while Soumya Sarkar and Nasum Ahmed have been left out.
