Faf du Plessis' 31-ball 69 powered TSK to a formidable total. He and Smit Patel put on 55 inside five overs. Useful contributions throughout the innings were hindered by a slowdown in the middle overs, particularly against Glenn Maxwell.

Owen and Rachin Ravindra got the chase off to a flying start, hitting five boundaries in the first eight deliveries. Despite being dropped twice, Owen made the most of his reprieves, smashing consecutive sixes off Marcus Stoinis. Gous' blistering 80* included 24 runs off Donovan Ferreira in one over, shifting the momentum in Freedom's favor. Glenn Maxwell and Glenn Phillips contributed crucial runs at the death to seal the win.
