Rishabh Pant scored twin centuries – 134 and 118 – in the first Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at Headingley, Leeds, becoming only the second ever wicket-keeper to achieve the feat.

Pant's Records:

  • Second designated wicketkeeper to score hundreds in each innings of a Test (after Andy Flower).
  • Seventh Indian batter to score hundreds in each innings of a Test.
  • First and only Asian to do so in England.
  • Fourth most runs by a designated wicketkeeper in a Test (252).
  • Most centuries by a designated wicketkeeper in Tests in an away country (4).
  • Joint most sixes by a batter in a Test in England (9).
  • Fifth fifty-plus score in his last five Test innings in England.

India's Records:

  • Five individual centuries in a Test (most for India).
  • Sixth time overall any side has achieved five centuries in a Test.
  • Second side to do it in an away Test (after Australia against West Indies in 1955).

  • Second lowest aggregate of runs by No.8 to No.11 across two innings (9).
