Bowlers make merry again in fast-moving Barbados Test

Batting continued to be a challenge at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, with the opening Test moving at a rapid pace due to the potency of the quicks on both sides. Australia is four down in the second innings, trailing the hosts by 82 runs.

Shai Hope and captain Roston Chase put up a defiant stand, dragging West Indies to 136/5 at Lunch. However, both batters were dismissed via contentious calls, with Chase given out LBW and Hope caught behind.

West Indies went on to be bowled out for 190, with Alzarri Joseph scoring an unbeaten 23 off 20. Australia's top-order was then dismantled by West Indies bowlers, with four wickets falling in the final session.

Brief Scores:

  • Australia: 180 & 92/4 (Beau Webster 19)
  • West Indies: 190 (Shai Hope 48, Roston Chase 44)

Lead: West Indies lead by 82 runs
