Hetmyer Leads Orcas to Victory, Moves Team to Fourth

Shimron Hetmyer once again proved to be the hero for Seattle Orcas, leading his team to a five-wicket win over Los Angeles Knight Riders. Hetmyer finished unbeaten on 64 off 26, hitting the winning six off the penultimate ball.

The Orcas' chase began poorly, with Josh Brown falling for a two-ball duck in the first over. However, Aaron Jones and Shayan Jahangir steadied the ship with a 119-run stand, with Jones scoring 73 off 38 and Jahangir contributing 43 off 31.

Hetmyer joined the fray with 77 runs needed from 47 balls and took charge, hitting boundaries off key bowlers Ali Khan, Tanveer Sangha, and Jason Holder. With 13 needed off the last two overs, Andre Russell conceded eight runs, including a boundary to Hetmyer. Hetmyer then sealed the win with a full toss over long-on off Shadley van Schalkwyk.

Earlier, Knight Riders posted 202 for 4, with Andre Russell scoring an unbeaten 65 off 39 balls. Saif Badar and Rovman Powell also chipped in with 41 and 43 not out, respectively.
