Du Plessis, Hosein send TSK to playoffs

Faf du Plessis' scintillating hundred and Akeal Hosein's clinical bowling led the Texas Super Kings (TSK) to a 39-run win over MI New York (MINY) in Dallas, securing their spot in the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 playoffs.

Du Plessis, who reached his fifty inside the powerplay, finished with 103 not out off 53 balls, striking 9 sixes and 5 fours. He formed crucial partnerships with Saiteja Mukkamalla (25) and Marcus Stoinis (25), while Donovan Ferreira added 53 off 20 balls to take TSK to 223/4.

MINY's chase was derailed by Hosein's near-perfect spell, which included a maiden and the wickets of Quinton de Kock, Monank Patel, and Tajinder Dhillon. Despite a late charge from Kieron Pollard (70 off 39 balls), MINY were always behind the rate, ultimately falling short by 39 runs.
