Keshav Maharaj ruled out of second Test against Zimbabwe

Keshav Maharaj has been ruled out of the second and final Test against Zimbabwe due to a groin strain sustained while batting on Day 3 of the first Test.

Maharaj will fly home for an assessment to determine the extent of his injury. Senuran Muthusamy has been named as his replacement.

With Maharaj also being the captain of the second-string squad, Wiaan Mulder will take charge of the team in the second Test, which begins on July 6 in Bulawayo. Mulder had a successful outing in the first Test, picking up four wickets in the first innings and scoring 147 with the bat.

Lungi Ngidi has been released from the squad to give the pacers from the opening Test another opportunity to make an impression.
