Texas Super Kings Jump to Top Spot
Adam Milne's five-wicket haul helped Texas Super Kings secure a comfortable 51-run win over Seattle Orcas, keeping their hopes of qualifying in the top-two of the league stage alive.
First Innings
Texas Super Kings made a quick start, with Smit Patel scoring boundaries in the opening over. However, Bjorn Fortuin restricted the scoring, and Sai Teja Mukammalla's early run out added to the woes. Faf du Plessis made good use of the start, breaking free against Cameron Gannon in the 12th over, bringing up his fifty with a boundary through mid off and then pulling a six over cow corner. Du Plessis and Shubham Ranjane formed a 130-run stand, setting the stage for Super Kings' total of 188 for 4.
Second Innings
In response, Kyle Mayers led a watchful start, but Adam Milne cleaned up David Warner and had Shayan Jahangir dismissed for a duck, beginning Orcas' slide. Familiar batting concerns cropped up for Orcas, struggling to keep up with the scoring rate and losing wickets at regular intervals. Shimron Hetmyer and Harmeet Singh showed sparks of aggression, but it wasn't enough to sustain a threat. The game slipped away from Orcas, eventually folding up for 137.
