Jofra Archer is set for his Test comeback after being named in the England XI for the third Test against India, at Lord's, starting Thursday (July 10).
Archer's inclusion comes at the cost of Josh Tongue as the only change to the home team's line-up from the second Test. The 30-year-old will return to the Test fold for the first time since February 2021. He has represented England in 13 red-ball games so far.
The pacer returned to red-ball cricket in the last round of County Championship for Sussex against Durham. His last Test for England also came against India in 2021, after which he battled a series of injuries, including a back stress fracture that kept him out of action intermittently until 2024, before his white-ball return in May last year.
