Washington Freedom Reach MLC 2025 Final After Qualifier Abandonment

A relentless spell of rain forced the abandonment of the qualifier between Washington Freedom and Texas Super Kings in Dallas, sending Freedom to their second straight final.

The match was abandoned after a rain threat hovered around, with the toss taking place earlier in the day. Glenn Maxwell opted to bowl first on a fresh wicket, but the teams were forced to retreat indoors due to lightning and thunder. Despite the efforts to resume play, the game was eventually called off, with a reserve day not possible due to the Eliminator clash scheduled for the same venue the next day.

Freedom will now face the winner of the Eliminator clash between MI New York and San Francisco Unicorns to have a shot at the final.
