KL Rahul on Rishabh Pant's Dismissal

KL Rahul expressed disappointment over Rishabh Pant's run-out before lunch on the third day of the Lord's Test. The visitors had narrowed the deficit to 140 runs, but Pant's dismissal changed the momentum.

Rahul's Reaction

"There was a conversation a couple of overs before that," Rahul said. "I told him that I will get my hundred if possible before lunch. Unfortunately, I hit straight to the fielder."

Impact of the Dismissal

Rahul felt that the run-out was "not ideal" for India's push to claim ascendancy. He completed his milestone after lunch but fell immediately after, leaving India with self-inflicted wounds.

Mental Drills and Consistency

Rahul attributed his consistency to mental drills developed through work with a specialist. He has been working on improving his reaction time and mental games, inspired by Formula 1 drivers.

"I think a lot of other sports use it… I've seen this in Formula 1 quite a lot. I picked this up from one of the guys I worked with in Salzburg. I'm closely associated with Red Bull, so I had the opportunity to go there and work with some of the coaches."
