BCB, ACB in Discussions for White-Ball Series in October 2025

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) are in talks to play a white-ball series in October 2025.

Series Details

  • 3 ODIs
  • 3 T20Is
  • Likely to be played in Dubai in the first half of October

Background

The series was initially scheduled for July 2024 but was postponed due to Bangladesh's workload management concerns. The ACB then proposed a white-ball series in July-August 2024 at Greater Noida, but it didn't materialize due to weather concerns.

Confirmations

  • Shahriar Nafees, BCB cricket operation in-charge: "We are in discussion with ACB regarding the white-ball series… We will be playing the remaining two Test matches at some other time that suits both the boards."
  • Sayeed Naseem Sadat, ACB spokesman: "Yes" (when asked about the development)
