Ruturaj Gaikwad Withdraws from Yorkshire Stint

Yorkshire's overseas signing Ruturaj Gaikwad has pulled out of his deal due to personal reasons.

Gaikwad was set to join the squad ahead of their next match against Surrey and was scheduled to play the remaining Championship fixtures and the One-Day cup. However, Yorkshire will now have to find a replacement.

Head coach Anthony McGrath stated, "Unfortunately, Gaikwad's not coming now for personal reasons. We're not going to have him for Scarborough or for the rest of the season. We're working behind the scenes to find a replacement, but time pressure is the issue."

Gaikwad has been out of action for over three months since suffering an elbow injury in an IPL game. Despite recovering and being picked for the India A squad for four-day matches in England, he didn't get a game.
