
Asia Cup 2025 Confirmed: To be Held in UAE from September 9 to 28
The Asia Cup 2025 has been confirmed and will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28. The announcement was made by Mohsin Naqvi, the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
Group Stage Schedule
The eight teams have been divided into two groups. Group A consists of India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B includes Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong.
- September 9: Afghanistan vs Hong Kong
- September 10: India vs UAE
- September 11: Bangladesh vs Hong Kong
- September 12: Pakistan vs Oman
- September 13: Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka
- September 14: India vs Pakistan
- September 15: UAE vs Oman, Sri Lanka vs Hong Kong
- September 16: Bangladesh vs Afghanistan
- September 17: Pakistan vs UAE
- September 18: Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan
- September 19: India vs Oman
Super 4s and Final
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 4s, which will take place on September 21. The final will be played on September 28.
Tournament Format
The Asia Cup 2025 will be played in the Twenty20 format, ahead of next year's Twenty20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. There will be 19 games in all, with two rest days on September 22 and 27.
