England 339/6 (Brook 111, Root 105, Duckett 54; Krishna 3-109, Siraj 2-95) trail India 224 & 396 by 34 runs.

Day 4 Report:

England need 35 runs to win with 4 wickets remaining after a dramatic fourth day at The Oval.

Harry Brook smashed a blistering 91-ball century and Joe Root remained unbeaten on 98, which he converted into his 39th Test hundred. Their 195-run stand put England in control.

However, India fought back after Tea with Prasidh Krishna taking two wickets in two overs.

Jacob Bethell was dismissed for 5 off 30 balls, edging Krishna onto his stumps. Root, having just reached his century, edged behind off Krishna, giving India a chance.

Brook's century was his 10th Test hundred and the fastest fourth-innings century ever scored against India. He was eventually dismissed for 111, charging down the track against Akash Deep and slicing the ball to Siraj.

Siraj was India's leading bowler, taking 2 wickets for 95 runs. He troubled Ben Duckett early on, before the opener edged Krishna to KL Rahul at slip. Ollie Pope was dismissed by a brilliant wobble-seam delivery from Siraj.
