England's Run Chase Continues Despite India's Strikes

England's pursuit of 374 runs continues, with the team chipping away 114 runs on the fourth morning. However, India's bowlers managed to remove Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope, and nearly got Harry Brook as well.

Brook's Reprieve

Harry Brook, who was putting pressure on India with his quick scoring, mistimed a short ball from Prasidh Krishna to fine leg. Mohammed Siraj completed the catch but stepped over the boundary rope.

Duckett's Dismissal

Ben Duckett, who was softened up by Siraj's bowling, chased a full delivery from Prasidh Krishna and edged a drive to KL Rahul at slip.

Pope's Dismissal

Ollie Pope, who was in good touch, was dismissed by one of the unplayable deliveries Siraj has bowled this series. The wobble-seam ball landed on the divots and jagged back viciously to trap him in front.

Brook's Continued Aggression

Undeterred by his reprieve, Brook went after Krishna again in the same over, swinging through the line and adding two more boundaries to his tally.

Captain Gill's Tactical Shift

Captain Shubman Gill began the day with proactive in-out fields, cutting off square-of-the-wicket runs on the off-side for both Duckett and Root. However, as the session progressed, he opted for just one slip to Brook who continued to put India under pressure.

Akash Deep's Ineffectiveness

Akash Deep, operating with the old ball, looked a touch ineffective, setting up what promises to be an intriguing afternoon session.
