Latham ruled out of second Zimbabwe Test; Santner to continue as captain

New Zealand will be without regular Test captain Tom Latham for the second Test against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo due to a shoulder injury.

Latham failed to recover from the injury and was unable to clear a fitness test on the eve of the second match. Head coach Rob Walter described the setback as "hugely disappointing".

Mitchell Santner will continue to lead New Zealand in the second Test, having become the team's 32nd Test captain in the first match.

Bevon Jacobs, a 23-year-old Auckland Aces batter, has been added to the squad as fielding and batting cover.
