Jacob Bethell to Lead England in Ireland T20Is

Jacob Bethell has been named captain for the T20I tour of Ireland next month, becoming England's youngest international captain at 21 years old.

Squad Updates

• Harry Brook will captain the team for the home series against South Africa.
• The all-format Test players, except Bethell, have been rested for the Ireland leg.
• Marcus Trescothick will step in as head coach for the Ireland series.

New Call-Ups

• 22-year-old Sonny Baker has earned his maiden England call-up for the ODI squad against South Africa and the T20I squad against Ireland.
• Leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed has been recalled to the ODI and T20I squads.
