South Africa Off-Spinner Prenelan Subrayen Reported for Suspect Action
Prenelan Subrayen, South Africa's off-spinner, has been reported for a suspect bowling action after making his ODI debut against Australia in Cairns on August 19.
According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the match officials' report raised concerns about the legality of Subrayen's action.
In his debut ODI, Subrayen bowled his full quota of 10 overs and took the wicket of Travis Head, who was stumped after charging down the track. South Africa won the match by 98 runs, taking a 1-0 series lead.
Subrayen, 31, will now undergo an independent assessment of his action at an ICC-accredited testing facility.
