Women's World Cup 2025: Bengaluru fixtures moved to Navi Mumbai

The DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will host five games for the ICC Women's World Cup 2025, replacing the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as a venue for the tournament.

The change comes after the Karnataka State Association failed to secure permission from the Karnataka State Government to host the games.

The DY Patil Stadium will host three league fixtures, one semi-final, and potentially the final. Navi Mumbai is one of five venues for the Women's World Cup, along with the ACA Stadium in Guwahati, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag, Holkar Stadium in Indore, and the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Schedule Changes

  • Inaugural game between India and Sri Lanka on September 30 moved to the ACA Stadium in Guwahati
  • October 3 clash between England and South Africa moved to Guwahati
  • Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh on October 20 and India vs New Zealand on October 23 moved to Navi Mumbai
  • New Zealand vs Bangladesh on October 10 moved to Guwahati
  • England vs New Zealand on October 26 moved to the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag

Tournament Schedule

  • September 30 – November 2
  • Top-four sides from the league stage will progress to the semifinals
  • First-place plays fourth, and second takes on third in the semifinals

  • September 30: India v Sri Lanka – Guwahati
  • October 1: Australia v New Zealand – Indore
  • October 2: Bangladesh v Pakistan – Colombo
  • November 2: Final – Colombo/Navi Mumbai
