Women's World Cup 2025: Navi Mumbai replaces Bengaluru as host
The ICC has announced that the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will host five games for the ICC Women's World Cup 2025, replacing the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This change comes after the Karnataka State Association failed to secure permission from the Karnataka State Government to host the games.
The DY Patil Stadium will host three league fixtures, one semi-final, and potentially the final. Navi Mumbai is one of five venues for the Women's World Cup, along with the ACA Stadium in Guwahati, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag, Holkar Stadium in Indore, and the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
