BCCI Ends INR 358 Crore Jersey Deal with Dream11

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has terminated its INR 358 crore jersey sponsorship deal with Dream11, the largest real money gaming company in the world. The decision comes after the passage of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, which makes the advertisement of fantasy gaming illegal.

The termination of the partnership was mutual, with the BCCI and Dream11 understanding that the new law makes it essential to end the sponsorship. The BCCI secretary, Devajit Saikia, confirmed the development, stating that the board will not engage with any such organizations in the future.

The deal, signed in 2023, was set to expire in 2026. However, with the Asia Cup just around the corner, the Indian team will be without a jersey sponsor unless the BCCI signs a new deal within the next fortnight.
