Hanuma Vihari Seeks NOC from Andhra, Eyes Move to Tripura
Hanuma Vihari, the 31-year-old former India, Andhra, and Hyderabad batter, has decided to switch states ahead of the upcoming domestic season. He has sought an NOC from the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) and is likely to join Tripura Cricket Association (TCA).
"I have been thinking about a switch. Tripura has been asking me for some time," Vihari told Cricbuzz. He has applied for the NOC from the ACA and is expected to be the captain of the Tripura state side.
Vihari has had a successful domestic career, playing 84 matches and scoring 6,168 runs at an average of 46.45, with 14 centuries and 32 half-centuries. He has also captained Andhra before being removed from the post in 2024 following political interference.
The move to Tripura could see Vihari playing in the Elite division across formats – both in red ball and white ball.
