Saint Lucia Kings Bounce Back to Winning Ways
The Saint Lucia Kings returned to winning ways with a convincing 4-wicket victory over the Guyana Amazon Warriors, chasing down 203 with 11 balls to spare.
Ackeem Auguste's 35-ball 73 was the highlight of the match, as he helped the Kings recover from a shaky start. Romario Shepherd's 73 off 34 balls was a valiant effort, but ultimately went in vain.
The Warriors' innings got off to a poor start, losing three wickets in the PowerPlay. Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer's partnership was unable to revive the innings, and the Warriors were eventually bowled out for 202.
In response, the Kings' chase was led by Auguste, who scored his 50 in just 19 balls. Tim Seifert and Auguste put on an 87-run stand before Seifert was dismissed. Auguste continued to score boundaries, but was eventually run out. Roston Chase and Tim David played valuable hands to help the Kings reach the target.
